The Geriatric Unit at JGPH is a safe, secure, and welcoming 20-bed inpatient unit that is specially designed for the treatment of older adults with mental illnesses and dementia-related disorders.
During each individual’s stay, our treatment team of experts will focus on crisis stabilization, supporting the patient’s ability to return to their home community or to a less restrictive level of care that provides a safe supportive environment.

Who We Serve #
Individuals generally come to our unit for care when their behavior has become problematic at home or in another facility; we are adept at identifying what led someone to our care and resolving the issue in a safe and effective manner. Individuals in our care may be experiencing:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Dementia, including mid- to late-stage dementia
- Psychotic disorders
- Other mental health conditions
