Through JGPH’s outpatient addiction services, people dealing with alcohol, drug addiction, and substance use will find compassionate, individualized care. You and your loved ones can access a variety of substance use treatments and mental health services tailored to your needs. Our goal is to help you recover and build a meaningful, productive life.

Addiction Services Offered by JGPH

Recovery from alcohol use, drug addiction, and substance use goes beyond merely reducing or ending your use of them. Our goal is to help you build a full, meaningful, and productive life in your community.

Through our Addiction Services program, we offer:

Ongoing therapy and support

We provide Outpatient (OP) Level 1 and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Level 2.1 outpatient treatment services; our caring clinicians offer individual, family, and group therapy to help support recovery efforts. Group therapy can help individuals address addiction in a supportive and understanding environment. We also encourage clients to attend a community program, such as 12-step or self-help meetings, so they can build a sober support system.

Drug and Alcohol Education Program

We offer a 6-week group Drug and Alcohol Education program that meets the requirements set by the Maryland court system. This program is available for individuals who have been convicted of:

• Driving under the influence (DUI)
• Driving while impaired (DWI)
• Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS)
• Testing positive for an illicit substance on the job

Each group session is $80, and there is a one-time assessment fee of $180.

Where to find dual diagnosis treatment services

At some of our locations, you can receive substance use treatment while you participate in therapy for underlying mental health issues.

Dual diagnosis services

Evidence shows that many people dealing with addiction may also have underlying mental health conditions. Our expert providers can diagnose other mental health issues you may be experiencing. People have a better chance of recovering when we treat both their mental health conditions and their substance use or drug addiction simultaneously.

Access to our network of support

JGPH has a history of providing leading-edge mental health treatment for clients with a wide variety of diagnoses. Our clients have access to our comprehensive range of services, including off-site counseling, outpatient mental health centers as well as addiction services. This robust network offers an extra layer of treatment and support to help individuals in recovery.

Addiction Services accepts patients who receive Maryland Medical Assistance, as well as private insurance and private payment.

How to Access JGPH’s Addiction Recovery Services

We recommend new patients connect with us through a referral. We accept self-referrals, referrals from other JGPH programs, and referrals from the community. You can begin by submitting our referral form (form opens in a new window).
